The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies presents whole new classes of opportunities and challenges for New Zealand.

From creating world-leading AI businesses, nurturing a deep pool of talented AI engineers, applying AI technologies to our agriculture, manufacturing and service industries and government right through to having a meaningful national debate on the threat to jobs from AI and automation, our country needs to raise its AI game if it is to thrive and survive in the near and mid future.

The Artificial Intelligence Forum of New Zealand (AIFNZ) is an association of organisations and individuals that have come together to take a key role in growing our country's capability to maximize the opportunities and address the challenges from AI in our society, politics, education, economy, technology and business.

AIFNZ will lead a programme of work from 2017 onwards which aims to raise the level of awareness and capabilities of Artificial Intelligence in New Zealand.
